Creative Curriculum
This is a lesson specifically for Year 7 students; it combines art, music, drama, English, history and geography into one lesson. The lessons are designed to help pupils become independent learners and more creative.
Physical Education
PE includes rugby and football in the winter months moving towards cricket and athletics in the summer months. Other activities include rounder’s, softball, basketball, cheerleading, gymnastics, HRT (health related fitness), skateboarding, trampolining, tennis and badminton.
Design Technology
Design technology lessons at Rodillian consist of textiles, food technology, resistant materials and graphics.
Music
The music department has a wide variety of musical instruments, a sound recording studio and the latest software on computers (so students can create a piece of music without playing a single note.)
Art
Students enjoy lessons on mask making, pop art, works of famous artists and collages to name a few. They use a range of materials including paper mache, paints, wax resist, crayons, pastels, mod-roc or pencils for shading.
