At Broomfield we believe that teaching History and Geography enables our students to make sense of the world around them, this is often done in a cross curricular way alongside Art, Science or Music for example. We promote the use of interesting resources to bring learning to life for our students. We use the Leeds Museum service Artemis which gives our children a chance to handle real life objects relating to their topic.
This term Primary have worked with Art Forms to look at a variety of historical artefacts relating to Space, which has given our children lots of inspiration to produce amazing art work.
Secondary have covered the Industrial Revolution and have consolidated their learning through trips to both Armley Mills and the National Cold Mining Museum.
