Safeguarding and Security
The safety, security and well-being of pupils is our primary concern, and Broomfield school policies are designed to support this principle at all times.
Children are supervised at all times by qualified, skilled staff, and all staff are subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. The school follows also Safe Recruitment Procedures.
Entry to the main site is via security gates and an electronically locked door and intercom system. This ensures that no-one can enter school unnoticed, and pupils are contained safely within the school perimeter. All visitors are required to sign in and out of school using our computerised signing in system.
All off-site, and identified internal activities (such as cooking and use of trampoline) are thoroughly risk assessed in accordance with Local Authority procedures and national legislation.
Broomfield South SILC request that parents/carers/visitors do not use any recording devices, including mobile phones whilst on site.
